On fitness


Day two. Day two of consistent exercise and I am already feeling the pain. TWO DAYS. That's all. What the heck. This always happens, I am on a streak of activity, then lady season comes along and I am squirming in pain eating chocolates, crying whilst watching pride and the prejudice for the 27th time by day three. It's fine. I get it, body. But, I was really out of the fitness loop. I was starting to feel the effects of not actively doing something. Granted, my work means me high on caffeine on my feet for 6+ hours and I'm always running around campus trying to get to classes and take every stairway possible. But, my body is used to that. So, alas, the beginning of the quarter weight loss is no longer a thing. Which kinda stinks. But, here I am trying to get back into the swing of things.

Yesterday I went on a hike at sunset, it was kinda magical and kinda sad because ever since my avocado tree ankle incident of '13 I may or may not be impaired when it comes to hikes. Oh, to be adventurous again. Always an old woman.
